Using a connector in a chat
Connectors link Metir to apps you already use. Once one is set up, you switch it on for a conversation from the plus menu, and Metir can use it while you talk.

Turning one on
Press the plus button

The plus menu now shows a count of how many connectors are live for this chat.
Why it is per conversation
You decide what each conversation can reach. A chat about a contract does not need your email connected, and a chat about a document does not need your calendar.
Metir can still switch on something you have already connected elsewhere if the conversation turns out to need it, even one you did not tick here. A tool row in the reply says when it does. It can never reach a service you have not signed in to at all; that always needs you.
When Connectors is greyed out
There are three reasons, and the tooltip tells you which:
- The selected model does not support connectors. Switch model.
- You have no connectors set up yet. Add some in Settings, under Integrations. See connectors overview.
- The list is still loading. Wait a moment.
What it looks like when one is used
A row appears in the reply naming the connector and what it did. See reading what comes back.
When it asks you to connect something
If Metir needs a connector you have not set up yet, it can ask right in the reply: a Connectcard with a button that opens that service's own sign-in, or a field for a key. The card stays in the reply once it appears, so it is still there to act on after the answer finishes.
