Data Accessed from Google
Google Sign-In
When you sign in using Google, we access and save your name, email address, and profile picture. This information is used to create and identify your metir account.
Google Calendar Integration
If you choose to sync your Google Calendar, we download and save your calendar events including event titles, times, descriptions, and meeting links. You can disconnect your Google Calendar at any time by going to your Account Settings.

We do not share your Google user data with any third parties. Your Google account information, calendar events, and any data derived from Google services remain strictly between you and metir. We do not sell, rent, license, or disclose this data to advertisers, data brokers, or any other external parties.
Data Storage & Protection
Your Google user data is stored on secure servers owned and operated by metir. We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest (AES-256), regular security audits, and strict access controls to protect your data from unauthorized access, disclosure, or misuse.
Data Retention & Deletion
metir only saves the data necessary to provide our services (such as your chat history, meeting notes, and calendar events) and only when you have given permission for us to do so.
Your Control: You have the ability to delete all your data and your entire account at any time through your Account Settings. When you request deletion, your Google user data is permanently removed from our systems within 30 days with no hidden backups or residual copies.
To disconnect your Google Calendar, navigate to Account Settings → Connected Accounts and click "Disconnect" next to Google Calendar. This will stop syncing and remove your calendar data from metir.
This section specifically describes how we handle data accessed through the Instagram Platform (Meta) when we connect an Instagram professional account to manage direct messages.
Data Accessed from Instagram
Instagram Business Login
When an Instagram professional (Business or Creator) account is connected, we access that account's basic profile — username, name, account ID, and profile picture — to identify the connected account within metir.
Direct Messages
We access the conversations and messages exchanged between the connected account and people who message it — including message text, attachments, timestamps, and the sender's Instagram username, name, and profile picture — so the account's team can read and respond to direct messages from the metir dashboard.
How We Use Instagram Data
- Display incoming direct messages in a unified inbox and let the team reply to them.
- Identify the sender of each message and keep conversation threads organized.
- Send human-authored replies, using Meta's Human Agent tag when responding more than 24 hours after the user's last message.
Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share Instagram data or message content with third parties. Instagram messages and profile information are used solely to operate the direct-message inbox and remain between the connected account's team and metir.
Data Storage & Protection
Instagram data is stored on secure servers operated by metir. Access tokens are encrypted at rest (AES-256), all data is encrypted in transit (TLS), and access is restricted to authorized administrators of the connected account.
Data Retention & Deletion
We retain Instagram messages only as long as needed to provide the messaging experience. Disconnecting the Instagram account removes the stored access token and stops all further data access. To request deletion of stored Instagram data, contact us at privacy@metirai.com; data is permanently removed within 30 days. Our use of Instagram data complies with Meta's Platform Terms and Developer Policies.
