The composer, end to end
The composer is where nearly everything in Metir starts. It looks like an ordinary message box, and its placeholder tells you the two shortcuts that matter: type @ to attach something, or / to run a skill.

The text box
It is a rich text box, so pasted content keeps its headings, lists, links and emphasis. Press Enter for a new paragraph, or ShiftEnter for a line break inside the current paragraph. To send, press ⌘Enter on a Mac or CtrlEnter on another keyboard. Pasting a file attaches it rather than pasting its name.
Suggested next prompt
After an answer, a suggestion types itself into the empty composer. It offers a useful next step based on your conversation and can help you discover relevant tools, skills, or connected services. Generating the suggestion uses credits.
On the Website with a keyboard, press Tab to use it. On a touch-sized Website window or in the mobile app, tap Use beside the final word. The action places the prompt in the composer and focuses it. You can edit it before sending, or type your own message to ignore it. Using a suggestion never sends it automatically.
The toolbar, left to right

The two shortcuts
Typing @ opens a picker over everything in your Workspace, and typing / at the start of a message opens the skills picker. Both become green chips inside your sentence once chosen. See mentions and skills.
Editing a message you sent
Choose Edit on one of your messages and it loads into the composer, along with its attachments. A bar above the box reads Editing message and reminds you that sending replaces the later replies, which fade in the conversation while you edit. Press the cross on the bar or Esc to cancel. Whatever you had half-typed before is put back.
Chips above the box
Attached files, mentioned items and the Deep Research pill all sit above the text box. Each one has a small cross that removes it, so you can always see exactly what a message will carry.
