A project groups a piece of work. A team is a group of people. Sharing a project with a team is how everyone gets the same context.

Creating a project
Name it, then attach work to it: meetings, files, notes, tasks and chats. See chat projects.
Creating a team and inviting people
Invite by email address. Someone who does not have Metir yet receives an invitation to join.
Sharing a project
Share with a whole team at once, or with named individuals.
Who can see what
The person who created a project controls it. A team it is shared with can see and work with its contents. Someone given access directly gets the same view without joining the team. Removing access takes effect immediately.
Chats are not shared
Sharing a project shares its files, notes, meetings and tasks. It does not share your conversations. Nobody sees your chats, whatever else they can see.
