Anything in Knowledge can be shared two ways: with people in your teams, or by a link for someone outside.

Sharing with a team
Share a project with a team and everyone in it gets its files, notes and meetings. See projects and teams.
Share links
Mint a link from a file's menu. Anyone who has the link can open the file, without a Metir account. The link is long and unguessable, but it is not password protected, so treat it as something you would send to a specific person rather than post publicly.
Revoking
From the same menu. Once revoked, the link stops working immediately.
Comments
Comment on a file so the discussion lives with the document instead of in a separate thread.
A share link works for anyone who has it. Revoke it once the reason for it has passed.
