Making a spreadsheet
Models, trackers and analyses come out as real spreadsheet files, with a styled grid you can inspect and edit beside the chat. Values and formulas can be changed directly, while larger structural changes can still be requested in the conversation.

Asking for one
Say what the rows and columns represent, what should be calculated, and who will use the result. Attach an existing spreadsheet or data file when the numbers should come from your own material.
Reading it in the pane
The grid renders with formatting, sheet tabs and a formula bar. Select a cell to see its address and current value or formula. Choose another sheet from the tabs along the bottom. If the file is very large, download it when you need content beyond the preview limit.
Editing values and formulas
On the Website, double-click a cell and type a value or a formula beginning with =. Press Enter or click away to keep it as a draft. Draft cells are marked as unsaved. Choose Save and Recalculate in the banner, or Save and Recalculate (N) in the pane header, to save every draft as one new version. Choose Discard to remove the drafts instead.
On mobile, tap a cell and edit its value or formula in the formula bar, then choose Save (N). When there are no unsaved Website edits, the header shows Recalculate. Use it when you want the displayed formula results refreshed without changing a cell.
Larger changes
Ask in chat for a new column, another sheet, a revised calculation or a formatting change. The updated file appears as a new version in the same pane. If a chart communicates the result better, see charts in a reply.
