Recording an in-person meeting
For a meeting in a room, the mobile app is the recorder. It keeps running when you lock the phone or switch apps, and uploads when you stop.

Starting
Open the Metir app and tap Record
The first time, allow access to the microphone.Put the phone down where it can hear the room

You do not need to keep the app in front of you.
It keeps running
Locking the screen or switching to another app does not stop the recording.
Stopping and uploading
Press stop and it uploads. On a poor connection it holds the recording and uploads when it can, rather than losing it.
Pending recordings
My Recordings lists audio that is still on your phone and has not uploaded, so nothing disappears quietly. Browser recordings that have not uploaded remain on that browser under Unsent recordings. After upload, a recording paused for credits appears under Waiting to transcribe instead.
