Connecting your bank
You can connect bank accounts in the UK and US so Metir can answer questions about your spending. The connection is read only, by design and at the product level.

Read only
Metir can read balances and transactions. It cannot move money. This is enforced by what the connection is permitted to do, not by a setting you could change by accident.
The first import takes a while
After connecting, transactions import in the background. Metir tells you it is still importing. Wait for that to finish before asking about history, or you will get an answer based on a partial picture.
What you can ask
- Spending by category, and how it changed month to month.
- Unusual or unexpected charges.
- Receipts you are missing, if the matching documents are in Knowledge. See adding and indexing files.
- A chart of any of the above. See charts and visuals.
Disconnecting
From Integrations. Disconnecting stops future access immediately.
Only connect accounts you are comfortable having Metir read.
