Tasks, and seeing what a Blob is doing
One Blob can be doing several things at once. Each job is its own task, with its own conversation, and you can watch any of them, or stop one, without touching the others.
The steps it finished stay on the record
- One Blob, several tasks, each its own conversation
- Open one and watch it tick through the work
- Stop ends it at the next step, never mid action
- The steps it finished stay on the record
The Blob's home
Click a Blob in the sidebar and you get its home screen rather than one conversation: the tasks it has running, then a Quiet heading with everything finished. A task that has stopped for a decision is marked Waiting for you right there, so you never have to open threads looking for the one that is stuck. See approvals and undo.
Stopping something
While a task is running, a panel above the composer ticks off what it has actually done, with a clock on the step it is on now. Stop ends it at the next step rather than mid action, so it never stops halfway through something. View work opens the full record.
Saying something mid task
You do not have to wait for it to finish. Send a message while it is working and it takes it into account, and the work record shows that it read you.
The work view
Show work opens a panel with five tabs.
| Tab | What it holds |
|---|---|
| Activity | Every step in order, in plain language, with how long each took. Click one to see the detail behind it. |
| Screen | What it is looking at right now, and the way in to take over. |
| Files | Whatever it has produced or downloaded, to browse and download. |
| Routines | Its standing jobs, and their triggers. |
| Memory | What it has learned, grouped into facts, preferences, past work and working notes. |
Correcting what it remembers
Hover an entry in Memory and Forget this removes it. There is no way to type one in by hand: a Blob remembers from what actually happened. See how memory works and routines.
