Watching and taking over a Blob’s computer
A Blob works on a machine of its own, and you can watch that machine, or take the keyboard off it whenever you want to.
Hand back, and it carries on
- You can watch the machine it is working on
- Take control hands you the keyboard
- It cannot act until you give it back
- Hand back, and it carries on
Watching
While a Blob is working, a small panel in the corner of the thread shows {Name}'s computer and what is on it. Collapse it if you would rather not watch, or open it full screen for the whole machine rather than one window.
Taking control
Take control hands you the keyboard and mouse. You click and type straight into the page; the Blob cannot act until you give it back with Hand back to {Name}. Nothing you type while you hold control is recorded.
This is what a sign-in card is asking for. Some things cannot be saved or replayed by anybody, one-time codes and passkeys among them, so those will always need you for a moment. See approvals and undo and passwords and keys.
When it is off
The computer does not run when nothing needs it. You will see the screen it was last left on, labelled as powered off, and Wake it and take control starts it again. Signed-in sessions survive, so waking it does not mean signing in again.
Showing it how
Teach records you doing a task once, and turns those steps into something the Blob can run itself afterwards. Give it a line saying what you are about to show, press Start recording, do the task, then Stop recording.
