Quick Start Guide

1. Add metir To A Meeting

Step 1: Click "Add Meeting" from the Meetings or Chat page

From your chat page, team dashboard or calendar page click the "Add Meeting" button in the top right corner.

Step 2: Fill in meeting details

  • •Title — Give your meeting a name (e.g., "Weekly Team Standup")
  • •Background / Instructions (Optional) — provide any relevant context or specific instructions for better summaries (e.g. "Focus on Q1 goals discussion" or "Include a table for product pricing")
  • •Project (Optional) — Select which project this meeting belongs to
  • •Platform — Choose the platform on which the meeting is taking place:
    • ○Live Recording — Use your phone or laptop to record an in-person meeting
    • ○Zoom, Google Meet or MS Teams — Have metir dial into your online meeting and silently transcribe your meeting
  • •Start Time — Schedule when the meeting is taking place. For Zoom, Google Meet and MS Teams you have the option to have metir join the meeting immediately OR set a time in the future for metir to join automatically. Make sure you set the correct start time and timezone!

1a. Record Live Meeting

Record your in-person meeting yourself through your iOS or Android app or through your laptop. The recording page will allow you to start the recording, pause a recording and stop when finished.

Available Controls:

  • Start — Start recording your meeting. metir will use your device microphone to record all sound as part of your meeting.
  • Pause — If there is a break or you are waiting on people to join, pause the recording if you'd like.
  • Restart — Started too early? Re-start the recording from the beginning - you will lose all previously recorded audio.
  • End Meeting — The recording is stopped and uploaded to metir for transcription, summarisation and analysis.

1b. Add metir to Google Meet

Connect your Google Meet call. metir will automatically dial in to your meeting at the right time to take notes.

Required Information:

  • Meeting URL — The Google Meet link (e.g., meet.google.com/abc-defg-hij)
  • Join Immediately — Toggle to have metir join right away, or schedule for later

Required Information:

  • Meeting ID — The 9-11 digit Zoom meeting ID
  • Passcode — The meeting passcode (if required)
  • Meeting URL — Alternatively, paste the full Zoom link

1d. Add metir to MS Teams

Connect your Microsoft Teams meeting. metir will automatically dial in to your meeting at the right time to take notes.

Required Information:

  • Meeting URL — The Teams meeting link from your calendar invite
  • Join Immediately — Toggle to have metir join right away, or schedule for later

2. Review Transcript

Once your meeting ends, you'll receive a notification when the transcript is ready to review. metir automatically transcribes your entire meeting with speaker identification.

Review & Correct:

  • Fix Speaker Names — Click "Speakers" to rename unknown speakers and link them to your contacts
  • Correct Misspellings — Click on any word to fix transcription errors like names, technical terms, or jargon
  • Re-Run Analysis — After making corrections, press "Re-Run" to regenerate meeting notes and action items with the corrected transcript
