That scale is why frontier labs sign contracts years ahead of when the hardware will run. None of this activity happens in a vacuum. Anthropic closed a $65 billion Series H round at a $965 billion post-money valuation in late May 2026, and reporting through the summer has pointed toward a possible IPO as soon as October 2026, with valuation discussions that have moved well past that private mark.
