ROIV · Nasdaq
Reports Nov 9, 2026.
Consensus is -$0.52 EPS for Sep 2026 across 1 estimates, ranging -$0.52 to -$0.52.
Roivant’s June 2026 quarter was a development-and-commercial-preparation period rather than a revenue quarter. The supplied earnings data show EPS of -$0.45, exactly matching the -$0.45 consensus. In the company’s GAAP filing, however, diluted loss per share attributable to Roivant was -$0.26, compared with -$0.33 in the year-ago quarter. Revenue fell to $1.4 million from $2.2 million a year ago and $2.0 million in the prior reported quarter, while operating loss expanded to $366.0 million from $284.9 million and $339.2 million. Attributable net loss improved to $189.8 million from $223.4 million a year ago and $265.9 million in the prior reported quarter, helped by investment gains and lower losses allocated to noncontrolling interests.
The quarter’s defining feature was the approaching catalyst slate. Roivant is preparing for a potential brepocitinib launch in dermatomyositis by the end of September and began a Phase 3 cutaneous sarcoidosis trial, while multiple Phase 2 and Phase 3 readouts remain scheduled for the second half of 2026. Spending is accelerating accordingly: R&D increased $49.1 million year over year to $202.0 million, and operating cash use reached $270.5 million. The July receipt of $771.6 million from Moderna materially strengthens an already substantial balance sheet, although a further $1.3 billion remains contingent on litigation outcomes.
Priovant is moving brepocitinib from development toward commercialization while expanding the program into additional dermatology indications. Roivant said preparations for a dermatomyositis launch remain on track for the end of September 2026, pending the FDA decision expected in the third quarter.
The near-term pipeline calendar is concentrated across Immunovant and Pulmovant, leaving the second half of calendar 2026 unusually eventful for a company still generating minimal revenue.
The Moderna settlement is now producing cash, but its accounting and ultimate value remain tied to the litigation structure. Genevant and Arbutus received the $950 million fixed payment on July 8, after quarter-end. Roivant’s share of Genevant’s allocation was recorded as a $771.6 million receivable at June 30 and received in July.
The income statement reflected the cost of advancing several late-stage programs and preparing for commercialization. R&D increased $49.1 million, or 32%, to $202.0 million, while G&A rose $31.5 million, or 24%, to $165.5 million.
Roivant ended the quarter with substantial liquidity despite continued operating losses and capital returns. Cash, cash equivalents and marketable securities were $3.8 billion at June 30, and the company reported $3.9 billion including restricted cash. The July Moderna receipt is excluded from those balances.
