Expected to report Jan 18, 2027 — estimated from last year’s reporting date.
Consensus is $0.43 EPS for Dec 2026 across 2 estimates, ranging $0.42 to $0.44.
ICICI Bank delivered a strong Q2 FY27 earnings beat: EPS of $0.49 was 22.5% above the $0.40 consensus, while net profit rose 20.1% year over year to INR 148.43 billion. Core operating profit increased 21.8% to INR 208.05 billion, and profit before tax excluding treasury grew 23.4% to INR 199.54 billion. Net interest income rose 17.7% year over year and 3.9% sequentially to INR 253.39 billion. The transcript does not provide a sequential net-profit comparison.
The quarter was defined by rapid balance-sheet expansion, largely supported by an exceptional FCNR(B) deposit mobilization of about $18 billion, alongside a temporary squeeze in reported margin. Loans grew 30% year over year including international lending against those deposits, and 24.1% excluding it; deposits grew 27.1%, or 17% excluding FCNR(B). NIM declined to 4.18% from 4.36% in the prior quarter and 4.30% a year earlier. Management expects the full impact of the funding and overseas-book mix in Q3, with margins starting to recover in Q4. Credit quality improved: net NPA fell to 0.30%, and net additions to gross NPAs were lower than a year ago. The bank maintained substantial contingency provisions and strong capital ratios.
