FERG · NYSE
Ferguson is a value-added distributor serving professional customers across plumbing, heating and cooling, waterworks, fire protection, fabrication and industrial products. It makes money by purchasing products from manufacturers, adding distribution, logistics and technical services, and selling through branches and other channels to contractors, municipalities, facilities and industrial businesses. FloWorks expands its industrial distribution offering and is central to the company’s stated growth strategy. Ferguson generated $30.8 billion of revenue and $1.9 billion of net income in fiscal 2025, versus $29.6 billion and $1.7 billion, respectively, in fiscal 2024. The supplied evidence does not disclose segment revenue contributions.
Ferguson Enterprises rose 10.12%, from $232.02 to $255.51, with nearly all of the advance concentrated on Monday and Tuesday. Monday’s 6.7% close gain followed a broader risk-on rally as Middle East tensions eased; the S&P 500 rose 1.48%, while construction materials and machinery stocks gained about 4.1%. Company-specific optimism then added support: Zacks cited Ferguson’s inclusion in the S&P 500 and its $1.6 billion FloWorks transaction as catalysts for the industrial growth strategy. Shares crossed the $240.25 200-day moving average and reached $256.99 intraday. Tuesday’s 46.2 million-share volume, versus 10.9 million on Monday, accompanied a further rise to $255.51. No reversal or company guidance was reported.
